Melanie Atkinson

Melanie Atkinson is an experienced evaluator and project manager specializing in youth development and education. Currently serving as an evaluator at Evaluation Associates since August 2022, Melanie previously worked with Xenicus Consulting from October 2013 to September 2022, where responsibilities included project management and developmental evaluation for Oranga Tamariki. Melanie's roles encompassed establishing Youth Inclusion Programmes, implementing the Intensive Response Initiative using a kaupapa Māori approach, and supporting organizational development for Kingslea School. Prior to these positions, Melanie served as the National Coordinator for Police Youth Development with NZ Police, managed service delivery contracts, and operated as a researcher and consultant in various capacities. Melanie holds a Ph.D. in Community Psychology from The University of Waikato and has a robust academic background in education and psychology.
