Evangelical Covenant Church
Dominique Gilliard serves as the Director of Racial Righteousness and Reconciliation for the Evangelical Covenant Church since April 2017, equipping leaders across 870 congregations to embody principles of love and reconciliation. As an Adjunct Professor at North Park Theological Seminary, Gilliard teaches ethics, ministry, theology, and missiology both on campus and within a maximum-security prison. Prior roles include Executive Pastor at New Hope Covenant Church, Associate Pastor at Convergence Covenant Church, and Director of Racial Justice Initiatives at North Park University. Gilliard’s early career involved significant roles at the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Educational credentials include a Master’s of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary, alongside Master's and Bachelor’s degrees in History and African American Studies from East Tennessee State University and Georgia State University, respectively.
