Avery Rising

Avery Rising has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role at Verizon in 2014 as a Summer Intern in Customer Service. Following this, Avery worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Bühler Group for two consecutive summers in 2016 and 2017, where they were responsible for designing new lab machines and organizing meetings with engineers to ensure efficient lab equipment designs. In 2018, Avery returned to Bühler Group as a Process Improvement Intern, where they received training in Autodesk Inventor and created 3D drawings of machine parts, contributing to a smooth transition to SAP. The following year, Avery held an Engineering Data Intern role at Bühler Group, where they cross-referenced and classified 30,000 parts, creating product specification sheets for the Aeroglide machines. Currently, Avery is working at Evans Machinery, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer and holds the position of Director of Engineering since May 2022.

Avery Rising attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2015 to 2020. During this time, they obtained a minor in Mathematics and earned a Bachelor's degree, B.Sc., in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
