Andrew Hays, M.S. Ed., has extensive experience in education and behavioral support, currently serving as a Behavior Specialist and GAIN Student Support Specialist at the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation since February 2022. Hays is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Indiana’s College of Nursing and Health Professions. Previous roles include positions at Deaconess Health System leading psychoeducational programming, Extension Educator at Purdue University, and Executive Director of the Evansville-area Trails Coalition. Hays has held leadership positions in academic and community settings, including Director roles at Ivy Tech Community College and Calumet College of St. Joseph, and has authored columns for the Evansville Courier & Press. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and a Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration, both obtained from Indiana University Bloomington.

The district is a county-wide system that is comprised of urban, suburban and rural areas.
