Golbarg Mehraei, Ph.D., has extensive work experience in the field of clinical data science and research. Golbarg currently serves as the Team Lead and Senior Data Scientist at Starkey Hearing, where they lead a team and utilizes their expertise in data analysis and machine learning. Previously, they worked as a Clinical Data Science Consultant at Evelo Biosciences, providing their expertise in clinical data analysis and consultation. Before joining Evelo Biosciences, Golbarg served as the Lead Clinical Data Scientist at the same company, where they contributed to clinical protocol development and collaborated with external clinical partners. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Clinical Data Scientist at Philips, where they led projects and developed machine learning models and analytics for early disease prediction. Golbarg also played a key role in portfolio development and collaborated closely with multiple stakeholders. Golbarg has further experience as a Clinical Data Science Consultant at Elemind Technologies, Inc., and as a Scientist in Translational Medicine at Decibel Therapeutics. Golbarg Mehraei pursued their bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, from the years 2003 to 2007. Following this, they attended the University of Maryland from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Subsequently, Golbarg Mehraei continued their academic journey at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 2010 to 2015, they pursued their doctoral studies and earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Sciences & Technology.

Furthermore, they obtained the certification of Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master in December 2020 from Scaled Agile, Inc.
