Leslie Wardwell-Scott

Leslie Wardwell-Scott is the current Vice President and Head of Corporate Development & Strategic Integration at Evelo Biosciences. Leslie has been with the company since January 2020, and in their current role, they are responsible for leading the company's business development efforts as well as managing strategic partnerships.

Prior to their current role, Ms. Wardwell-Scott served as the Senior Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Integration at Evelo Biosciences from November 2018 to January 2020. In this role, they were a member of the company's leadership team with expanded responsibilities across business development, special projects, and strategic integration. Leslie also served as the secretary of the executive leadership team.

From September 2016 to November 2018, Ms. Wardwell-Scott served as the Director of Business Development and Corporate Development at Evelo Biosciences. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's business development efforts for the Inflammation Program and Monoclonal Microbial Platform. Leslie also managed multiple strategic and commercial consulting engagements, including communication of output within the company and with the Board of Directors.

Ms. Wardwell-Scott has extensive experience in the biotechnology industry, and they have a proven track record of success in corporate development, business development, and strategic partnerships.

Leslie Wardwell-Scott has a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard Medical School. They also have a BA in Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Colby College.

They work with Daniel Char - General Counsel, Stu Abel - Global Head, Regulatory Affairs, EU Head of Clinical Development, and Chun Zhang - Head of Technical Operations. Leslie Wardwell-Scott reports to Simba Gill, CEO.
