Abigail Stone

Abigail Stone has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Abigail is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Eventbrite since November 2021. Prior to this, they were employed at Expedia Group from 2018 to 2021, where they held the role of Technology Lead. In this position, they worked as a back-end developer and technology lead for Expedia's lodging booking team. Abigail was responsible for developing, releasing, and monitoring code in Java and Scala stack on AWS, participating in on-call rotations, defining project requirements, proposing system architectures, managing junior developers, and conducting technical trainings.

Before joining Expedia Group, Abigail worked as a Private Tutor for multiple companies from 2013 to 2018. Abigail specialized in tutoring and teaching subjects such as SAT and GRE prep, English as a Second Language, College-level English, German, History, Elementary math, Elementary reading and writing, and Study Skills. Their expertise included working with students with learning disabilities and developmental delays.

Abigail also served as the Head Computer Science Section Leader at the University of Arizona from 2016 to 2017. Abigail utilized Scala, JavaScript, and React to develop the back end and front end of the project.
