Aideen Farrell

Aideen Farrell has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Aideen is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Eventbrite since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Engineering Manager at Bumble from December 2020 to February 2023. In 2019, they worked as a Research Support in Web Science and Social Computing at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Aideen has also held various roles at Travelport, including Global Director of Engineering from January 2014 to May 2018, Senior Solutions Manager (EMEA) from August 2009 to January 2014, and Global API Solutions Manager from January 2003 to August 2009. Before joining Travelport, they worked at Orygen as a Contract Java Developer from August 2000 to November 2001 and at Penzance Travel Technology as a Contract Java Developer from August 1999 to May 2000. Aideen's early career included a role as a Java Developer at Logica from June 1997 to July 1999 and as a Web Designer at Ericsson from June 1996 to October 1996.

Aideen Farrell completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Technology University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus between 1994 and 1998. Aideen then pursued a Masters degree in Intelligent Interactive Systems from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which they completed between 2018 and 2020.
