Brittany Kerfoot has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Brittany started their career as a Senior Web Content Manager at Capital One, where they wrote and edited web-based performance support content. After that, they held positions as a Graduate Writing Center Tutor at George Mason University and as a Writers in School Intern at the Pen Faulkner Foundation.

In 2013, Kerfoot became an English Instructor at George Mason University, a role they held until 2018. During this time, they also worked as a Senior Content Manager at Elucid Solutions Corporation from 2015 to 2017.

Kerfoot embarked on a freelance writing career in 2016, specializing in personal essays, reviews, listicles, and pet writing. Their work was featured in publications such as Brit + Co, Thrillist, and Racked. Brittany continued freelancing until 2019.

In 2018, Kerfoot joined Politics and Prose Bookstore as a Partnered Events Manager. Brittany later became the Deputy Director of Events and eventually the Director of Events until March 2022. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing event planning and management.

From 2017, Kerfoot also worked as a Staff Writer and Curator at Eventbrite, contributing to content creation and curation.

Most recently, Kerfoot joined Closer to Truth in January 2022 as a Digital Content and Marketing Manager.

Brittany Kerfoot obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish from George Mason University, graduating in 2007. Brittany further pursued their education at the same university, completing their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from 2012 to 2015.
