Mary Kate H started their career as a Research Assistant at Renmin University of China in 2004. Mary Kate then worked as a Research Assistant in Operations Management at Terese Kelly Investment Group from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they interned as a Financial Validation Engineer at Citi. Mary Kate later became an Assistant Vice President at Citi from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a Project Manager at Citi, where they performed financial analysis, financial forecasting, and business evaluation.
