Vinay Ramanujan has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Vinay started their career in 2006 as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer at Tanker Pacific Management, where they were responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment onboard ships. Vinay then worked at Shell from 2010 to 2014 as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, where they were in charge of electrical and Navcom maintenance and troubleshooting on Qmax/QFlex series LNG vessels.

From 2014 to 2017, Vinay worked at Maersk Tankers as an Electrical Superintendent, overseeing vessel technical operations and managing repair and maintenance of electrical and navigational equipment. Vinay then joined Scorpio Tankers Inc. as an Electrical Superintendent, where they were responsible for Electrical/Navcom support for the fleet of vessels and recruitment and development plans for sailing Electrical Engineers.

In 2018, Vinay joined Evergas as the Head of Electrical and Automation. In this role, they defined and developed service standards, planned and executed maintenance and repair of electrical and navigational equipment, and identified cost-effective solutions.

Most recently, Vinay started working in 2023 as the Electrical Instrumentation Automation Manager at Seapeak, though no further details about their role are provided.

Vinay Ramanujan completed their Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree from Anna University between 2002 and 2006. In 2014, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Operations Management and Supervision from the Welingkar Institute of Management, which they finished in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Vinay has obtained various certifications in different areas. In 2019 and 2020, they completed several LinkedIn courses on topics such as project management, leadership, conflict resolution, and artificial intelligence.
