Chc Shawn Marchese

Shawn Marchese, CHC, has extensive work experience in the field of compliance. Shawn is currently serving as the Chief Compliance Officer at Evergreen Nephrology since September 2022. Previously, from 2016 to October 2022, they co-founded, co-created, and co-hosted an award-winning weekly podcast called "The Prancing Pony Podcast," focusing on the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. In March 2020, Shawn joined Babylon as the Global Head of Compliance and Risk, a role they held until September 2022. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at UnitedHealth Group, starting in 2005. During their time at UnitedHealth Group, they held various roles, including Associate Director of Compliance, Compliance Manager, and Compliance Consultant. Shawn'sresponsibilities involved leading prevention activities, managing marketing material review and submission, and supporting commercial and Medicare Supplement form and rate filings. Shawn's career in regulatory compliance began in 2002 at Universal Care, where they worked as a Compliance Monitoring Analyst, gaining experience in regulatory filings and responding to requests to modify plan materials.

Shawn Marchese, CHC, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Classical Studies from Loyola University New Orleans. Additionally, in May 2017, Shawn obtained a certification in Health Care Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
