Zao Liu

Zao Liu has a broad range of experience in software development and engineering, with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. They are currently working as the AI Software Lead at Everguard.ai. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where they specialized in deep learning frameworks and troubleshooting performance issues. They also worked as a Machine Learning Software Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, where they developed machine learning algorithms. Before that, Zao worked as an IO System Architect and Analyst at Xilinx, where they focused on hardware design. They also gained experience at Intel Corporation, first as a High Speed I/O Modeling Engineer, where they developed statistical inference methods and automated result comparison, and later as a High Speed I/O Modeling Intern and Research Intern, where they gained further experience in modeling and programming. Zao also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Riverside, where they focused on thermal modeling and management for 3D ICs and packages. Lastly, Zao had an internship at LSI Corporation as an ASIC Design Intern, where they worked on system-level code refactoring and power management logic design.

Zao Liu completed a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at UC Riverside from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, Liu obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University from 2008 to 2010. Liu also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, although the specific dates of study are unknown. In terms of additional certifications, Liu completed courses such as "JSON Data" and "XML Data" from Stanford Online in February 2016. Additionally, Liu completed various courses on topics such as practical machine learning, R programming, regression models, statistical inference, mining massive datasets, and machine learning techniques on Coursera between 2015 and 2016.
