Evelyn Mendez

Evelyn Mendez is a seasoned professional in project controls, currently serving as a Senior Project Controls Analyst at Evergy since May 2019. In this role, Evelyn collaborates closely with various departments to ensure the timely and budget-conscious completion of capital transmission and substation projects. Additional responsibilities include leading the recruiting team and participating in the Process Improvement Team, Project Zeus. Evelyn's previous experience includes positions as Project Controls Analyst I and II, as well as an intern with a focus on Robotic Process Automation and energy accounting. Prior to Evergy, Evelyn worked at Cricket Wireless, where responsibilities involved sales and customer service, and at Okla-Tex Nick's BBQ, handling customer service and restaurant management. Evelyn holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Rend Lake College.
