Kenny Luebbert

Kenny Luebbert is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in power generation and operations. Currently serving as Senior Director of Generation Engineering at Evergy since December 2019, Kenny leads multiple engineering teams focused on I&C and Electrical, Operational Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, Performance Engineering, Business Process Automation, and Generation Innovation. Previously, Kenny held various leadership roles at Evergy, including Director of Generation Engineering and Operations Support Manager, overseeing compliance with NERC and FERC standards. Prior to joining Evergy, Kenny worked at KCP&L, where roles included Operations Support Engineering Manager and Principal Performance Engineer, contributing to significant CO2 reduction initiatives and enhancements to the generation fleet. Kenny began the career at Sega Engineering Consulting and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA in Finance from the University of Kansas.
