Sheri G.

Sheri G. serves as the Senior Director of Engagement and Workforce Development at Evergy since August 2023, bringing extensive experience in leadership roles focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and community development. Previously, Sheri held the position of Vice Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Community Relations at the University of Kansas from July 2022 to August 2023. From January 2019 to July 2022, Sheri was the Vice President and KC Rising Director at the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, contributing to regional cooperation and innovative solutions in community and economic development at the Mid-America Regional Council from 2015 to 2019. Sheri's background includes significant roles in health foundations and international development with Samaritan's Purse, managing programs to assist underserved populations. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Journalism from The University of New Mexico.
