Bret Hopman has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and public relations. Bret currently holds the position of VP, Marketing & Communications at Eversight since June 2021. Prior to this, Bret worked as the Vice President of Marketing at WayPoint Marketing Communications from 2017 to 2021, where they played a crucial role in shaping the business direction by providing strategic insights into digital marketing, analytics, brand strategy, and internal communications. Bret has also worked at the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit as the Senior Director of Marketing, Fitness, and Membership, where they oversaw all marketing and communication efforts and repositioned the organization as an integral part of the community. Before that, Bret served as the Digital Analytics Manager at The JRT Agency from 2014 to 2015, where they established a metrics presence and updated the organization's marketing approach by adopting a data-first mentality. Bret also has experience working at the ASPCA, where they formulated and executed media strategies and played a key role in developing a public-private partnership with the NYPD. Bret's career started at Golf Digest Publications (Conde Nast), where they held various roles such as Public Relations Manager, Publicist, and Public Relations Coordinator. Throughout their career, Bret has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results.
Bret Hopman holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Colgate University. Bret also obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Sports Business/Sports Management from New York University.
In addition to their formal education, Bret has acquired several certifications. Bret is certified in Advanced Google Analytics and Google Analytics for Beginners, both obtained from Google in May 2021. Bret also holds the Inbound Marketing Certified certification obtained from HubSpot in March 2021.
