Data Scientist at Eversight

Daniel D. Gibson has been working in the field of data science since 2010. From 2010-2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School, where they conducted experiments with cells, yeast, and other organisms, as well as designed and manufactured microfluidic devices. From 2009-2010, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Mesoscopic Physics Laboratory, where they optimized an ultrasonic parametric array for land mine detection and conducted numerical modeling of apparatus. From 2015-2018, they worked as a Data Scientist in Residence at Galvanize Inc, where they were responsible for assisting students with daily programming exercises and understanding lecture material, grading student assessments, and implementing a Python module for generalized exploratory data analysis. From 2016-2018, they worked as a Data Scientist at Datableservices.com. Finally, from 2018-present, they have worked as a Data Scientist at Eversight, where they are responsible for automated demand forecast models for pricing retail items, coding Monte Carlo algorithms to optimize experimental designs, and writing discreet price optimization algorithms from scratch.

Daniel D. Gibson attended Colorado School of Mines from 2005 to 2010, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and minors in Music Technology, Bioengineering and Life Science. In 2007, they attended the Technical University of Munich. In 2009, they attended The Chinese University of Hong Kong for International Asian Studies. Daniel D. is currently enrolled at Galvanize and Harvard Extension School.
