Faria Kamal

Faria Kamal is a Senior Engineer in System Planning at Eversource Energy since March 2024, following a robust academic and professional background in electrical and electronics engineering. From January 2018 to March 2024, Faria served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, focusing on high voltage AC/DC system controls for offshore wind and marine hydrokinetic power. Additional roles include positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Student Employee at the Electric Power Research Institute, with experience in modeling and system optimization. Faria has also contributed as a Research Intern at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and as a laboratory instructor and teaching assistant at North South University, encompassing various aspects of electrical engineering education. Faria holds a PhD and MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a BSc from North South University.
