Eddie Reyes began their career in 1989 as an Equipment Maintenance and Process Technician in the Compound Semiconductor Etch Division at Motorola. Eddie then moved to the MOS6 Etch Division, followed by the Flat Panel Display Division (FPDD) where they performed preventive maintenance and wet clean procedures for etch process equipment. Eddie then moved to the MOS21 Etch Division, where they created and documented etch equipment maintenance specifications and performed scheduled PM's on all etch equipment via task management. In 2004, when Motorola spun off the Semiconductor Sector to become Freescale, Inc., Eddie Reyes moved to the MOS12 MRAM Division as an Equipment Engineering and Process Technician. In 2008, they moved to EverSpin Technologies, where they worked as an Equipment Engineer. Eddie was tasked with finding new applications for magnetoresistive random-access memory (MRAM) chips, and was given Freescale's MRAM R&D, intellectual property, and some 200 patents to continue making 1Mb, 2Mb, and 4Mb chips.
Eddie Reyes attended the Phoenix Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1988, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics. Eddie returned to the Phoenix Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1990, but did not receive any additional degree or certification.
