Processing Products VP at Evertec

Karla Chamorro de Arias has extensive work experience in the fields of processing products, customer relations, regional management, entrepreneurship, and systems analysis. Karla held the position of Processing Products VP at Evertec starting in January 2020, and prior to that, they served in the role of Customer Relations VP for Panama, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean at the same company from October 2017 to January 2020. Before joining Evertec, they were the Regional Manager at EFT Group from March 2011 to October 2017. Additionally, they founded Information Technology Wizards (IT WIZ) in 2010 and held the position of Founder until 2017. In 2010, they briefly transitioned to entrepreneurship while working at Grupo Arias. Karla Chamorro de Arias had a significant role as the General Manager of First Data Corporation's Central America and Caribbean processing center from November 2003 to April 2010, where they successfully expanded the company's client base. Prior to that, they held the position of Processing Center Manager at Banco General from February 1992 to November 2003. Karla began their career as a Systems Analyst at Alcoa in June 1991.

Karla Chamorro de Arias has a varied and extensive education history. In 1982-1987, they attended Colegio Maria Inmaculada, where they obtained a high school degree with a focus on science and literature. From 1988-1991, Karla studied at Florida International University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, as well as International Business. During the same period, they also studied Management Information Systems at Lynn University. Later, in 1995-1997, they pursued their Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance at Universidad Nova Southeastern. In 2009, Karla attended IESA, obtaining a Diploma in High Management. In 2011, they completed the Seven Habits program at FranklinCovey. Furthermore, in 2017, they obtained a certification as a Private Pilot of Airplane (land) from the Autoridad de Aeronáutica Civil in Panama.
