David Flower is an accomplished sports scientist with extensive experience in football, currently serving as the Lead Sports Scientist at Everton Football Club since January 2013. His expertise encompasses leading departmental strategies in sports science, mentoring staff, optimizing athlete development processes, and integrating evidence-based practices. Previous roles at Everton include Senior Sports Scientist and Head of Sports Science for Everton Ladies, as well as several positions within the first team and U23's teams. David also gained valuable experience through various internships and coaching roles at clubs such as West Bromwich Albion, Liverpool Football Club, and Tranmere Rovers, complemented by academic qualifications including a Professional Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Sports Physiology from Liverpool John Moores University.
