Brian Ray has extensive work experience in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. Brian is currently serving as the Global Head of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), GenAI Lead at Eviden since 2019. In this role, they are responsible for supporting and building the roadmap for global data science and AI strategy. Brian partners with business and technology group leaders to execute the roadmap in accordance with industry, market, and customer demands. Prior to this, Brian worked as the Practice Lead at Eviden, where they managed teams specializing in delivering AI/ML consulting and applied science services.

Before joining Eviden, Brian worked at Deloitte from 2013 to 2019 in various roles. Brian served as the Data Science Lead and Cognitive Team Lead for Deloitte Consulting LLP's Products and Solutions group. In this role, they led a team in exploring, modeling, and building real-time cognitive capabilities into products and solutions to solve business problems worldwide. Brian also worked as the Senior Technology Lead in the Enterprise Science division at Deloitte, where they led agile software operations and solved complex analytical problems for major businesses. Brian built and mentored a team that utilized natural language processing, machine learning, and text analytics to provide insights to clients.

Prior to their time at Deloitte, Brian held various positions as a senior data scientist, senior software engineer, CTO, director of R&D, and consultant for different companies from 1997 to 2016.

Brian Ray has a BA in IT with a major in Computer Science from Roosevelt University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Brian also holds a Certificate in Web Programming from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed in 2003. Before that, they attended Wabash College from 1994 to 1997, studying Computers and Art. Brian Ray completed their high school education at Culver Academies, where they obtained a Diploma in College Prep from 1990 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications as an AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2021 and as a Professional Machine Learning Engineer from Google in October 2020.
