Dr. Matthias Förster

Dr. Matthias Förster has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dr. Matthias began their career as an Assistant Professor at the Technical University Berlin, where they conducted research and lectured on corporate planning and controlling. Dr. Matthias later went on to become the Owner and Managing Director of Töpfer&Förster Controllingsysteme, a consulting and distribution company specializing in MIS/EIS. Dr. Matthias then joined Copeland GmbH as the Director of Information Management, where they introduced LANs and WANs and implemented a company-wide Controlling and Reporting application. Dr. Förster then joined PwC Consulting as a Partner, where they grew the business by 200% per year and managed Lufthansa German Airlines to become one of the top accounts in Europe. Dr. Matthias then joined IBM Global Business Services as a Partner and VP, leading the Strategy&Transformation practice and overseeing advisory consulting and transformational deals. Dr. Matthias later joined CSC as the Senior Managing Partner, where they headed the consulting and systems integration business in Central and Eastern Europe. More recently, they held various leadership roles at Atos, including Vice President and Global Consulting Industry Leader, as well as VP of Strategic Deals at Eviden.

Dr. Matthias Förster completed their education with a focus on economics and engineering. Dr. Matthias obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin in 1988. Later, in 1992, they received a Dr.rer.oec. degree in Economics from the same university. Recently, in 2020, they completed the Executive Leaders Programme with a specialization in Digital Transformation from INSEAD.
