Zach Watson

Chief of Staff at Evidence Action

Zach Watson is the Chief of Staff at Evidence Action. Zach has a long history of military and government service. Zach served as an intern at the Council of Economic Advisors at The White House from January 2007 to December 2007. Zach then joined the US Army in May 2008, where they served as a major until September 2020. During their time in the Army, they were the Division Intelligence Fusion Officer-in-Charge for the 1st Cavalry Division from August 2010 to April 2011. Zach then served as Aide-de-Camp for the Regional Command Deputy Commanding General from April 2011 to April 2012. After leaving the Army, they worked as a performer for Think Fast Improv from December 2014 to July 2016. Zach then worked as a Fellow for the Chief of Staff of the Army Strategic Studies Group from July 2016 to June 2017. Zach is currently the Chief of Staff at Evidence Action.

Zach Watson earned an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, they completed a B.S. in Economics and Arabic Language from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Zach also participated in a Semester Abroad program in Economic Development and Arabic at The American University in Cairo.

Their manager is Kanika Bahl, CEO. They are on a team with Geofrey Oduwo - Senior Manager, MLE Delivery, Maarten Van De Reep - Deputy Director, Programs, and Michele Anderson - Senior Manager, HR.
