Gordon W. Romney has held a number of roles in the cybersecurity and computer science fields. In 2020, they became the Chief Information Security Officer and eVisit HIPAA Security Officer at eVisit. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Professor and Director at the University of San Diego, overseeing MS Cybersecurity initiatives, teaching Cybersecurity and Computer Science, and serving as Chief Scientist for Cyber AI and IoT research. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Dean of Cybersecurity, Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Phoenix. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Founder and Member of the Board of Directors at the Cyber Security Institute of San Diego. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Professor and Professor of Security at National University.

Gordon W. Romney began their educational journey in 1959 when they enrolled at Princeton University, where they earned an A.B. in Physics in 1965. Gordon W. then moved to the University of Utah, where they earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering in 1969. In 2007, they obtained a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from the ECCouncil.
