Yaritza Velazquez

Yaritza Velazquez has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Yaritza currently works at Evoke Pharma as a Gastroenterologist Care Specialist. In 2022, Yaritza worked at Invitae as an Inside Sales-LATAM, where they partnered with Regional Managers to close sales and achieve sales quotas. Yaritza also identified and created new sales opportunities and assisted the marketing team with event promotion.

Prior to that, Yaritza worked at Daiichi Sankyo from 2008 to 2011 as a Sales Representative II, Primary Care. Yaritza was responsible for managing and launching DSI products in Puerto Rico, specializing in Cardiovascular Products and Conditions.

From 2002 to 2008, Yaritza worked at Merck as a Professional Sales Representative. Yaritza promoted top-selling products in the Osteoporosis, Respiratory, and Cardiovascular market. Yaritza successfully launched two medications and worked with key opinion leaders for the adoption of a new combination product.

In 2001, Yaritza worked at Abbott as a Consumer Sales Representative, where they led the island-wide launch of a new glucometer and developed a marketing plan for a new line of glucometers.

Their earliest work experience was at Alberto Culver from 1998 to 2001, where they worked as a Key Account Representative. Yaritza was responsible for direct sales and market shares of assigned products to key accounts and opened new distribution for Alberto Culver in the island.

Yaritza Velazquez pursued their education at the Universidad de Puerto Rico from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science. Later, from 2001 to 2005, they enrolled at Interamerican University-Metro and successfully completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Marketing.
