Cyrus Pirasteh

Cyrus Pirasteh has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Cyrus started their career at Goldman Sachs as the Derivatives Trading Head in NYC and Tokyo, managing multi-billion dollar equity derivatives portfolios. Cyrus then went on to found and run all aspects of Trading, Risk, and Quantitative Modeling at Empyrean Capital Partners, one of the largest hedge fund launches of that time. After 15 years in the financial industry, Cyrus took a break to pursue non-financial interests.

Upon their return, they joined Wedbush Securities as the Head of Equity Trading & Technology, where they also led the Private Shares Group and played a key role in creating and transforming business lines. Cyrus then became a Member of the Board of Directors at Casetabs in 2015 before transitioning to Evolution Financial Group as the Managing Director in 2015. At Evolution Financial Group, they oversaw various financial businesses and specialized in debt and equity finance, private equity and venture capital investments, securities research, and brokerage.

In addition to their financial roles, Cyrus has also served as an Advisor to Slated, Inc., an organization focused on film projects, talent, financing, and distribution. Cyrus has also been an Advisor to Cannalysis, a company in the cannabis industry. Beyond finance, they have contributed to philanthropic endeavors, serving as a Member of the Los Angeles Region Board for the Jefferson Awards Foundation.

Cyrus's work experience demonstrates a strong background in finance, leadership, and strategic planning, along with a commitment to various industries and causes.

Cyrus Pirasteh began their education at the Hotchkiss School in an unspecified year. After completing their time at Hotchkiss School, they attended Yale University from 1989 to 1993. At Yale, they obtained a combined MA and BA degree with Honors in Economics.
