Nadia Ilyayev has a diverse work experience in the biopharmaceutical and biomedical research field. Nadia began their career as an intern at the Blood Bank, Hadassah Medical Center Mount Scopus in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Surgical Oncology Laboratory at the same medical center, where they gained expertise in various laboratory techniques such as RNA/protein/DNA isolation, Western blotting, ELISA, PCR/RT-PCR, and IHC.
In 2012, Nadia joined Sigma-Aldrich - Merck as a Protein Purification Biochemist II. In this role, they processed and purified small to medium scale proteins from various sources, including bacterial, yeast, plant, mammalian cells, animal tissues, and body fluids/fermentation media. Nadia also contributed to tech transfer, scaling up/down processes, improving purification methods, and optimizing assays.
Nadia's next position was as an Associate Scientist at Luminex Corporation in 2018. Nadia then joined Therapure Biopharma Inc as a Research Associate I in 2019, where they continued to apply their skills in the research and development of biopharmaceutical products.
From 2020 to 2022, Nadia worked at Resilience as a Research Associate II, focusing on cell line development and bio-process. Their responsibilities included upstream mammalian cell culture, seed train initiation and expansion, bioreactor inoculation, cell bank cryopreservation, and culture growth kinetics. Nadia also managed cryo-storage units and coordinated regulatory testing.
Most recently, Nadia joined Evolve Biologics in 2022 as a Research Scientist, where their role and responsibilities are not specified.
Nadia Ilyayev has a diverse education history, beginning with their Practical Engineer degree in Computer Software Engineering from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Nadia then pursued their Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences degree at Hadassah Academic College, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.
Continuing their education, Nadia obtained a Master of Science degree in Medical Sciences with a concentration in Human Genetics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completing their studies from 2008 to 2011.
