Alexander Lygin

Alexander Lygin is a seasoned professional in business development and intellectual property management, currently serving as Senior Business Development Manager Partnerships at Evonik since January 2012. In this role, Alexander focuses on internal technology consulting, market and technology analysis, strategy roadmap development, and fostering collaborations and partnerships, with involvement in mergers and acquisitions and venture capital investments. Previously, Alexander held the position of Intellectual Property Manager at Evonik, where responsibilities included developing IP strategies and managing patent filings. Alexander also has experience as Head of Laboratory, overseeing lab teams and pilot plant operations related to the commercial project "LIMA." Prior to Evonik, Alexander was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Alexander holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The University of Göttingen and a Master's degree in Chemistry from Moscow State University.
