Carsten Kolligs

Carsten Kolligs possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in project management and engineering, with a focus on power generation and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as VP and Head of Product Line Energy & Utilities at Evonik since February 2009, Carsten has been instrumental in overseeing production and technology at the chemical park in Marl. Highlights of Carsten's career include leading significant investment projects aimed at transitioning power generation assets from coal to natural gas, managing the power plant group, and executing innovative energy storage R&D projects. Previous roles include senior project management at STEAG Energy Services GmbH, where Carsten developed power plant projects internationally, and general management responsibilities at Steag LLC. Carsten holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Energy Technology from RWTH Aachen University and a Vordiplom in Mechanical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum.
