Ulrich G. has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Ulrich started their career as a Regular soldier in the Bundeswehr from October 1988 to June 1993. Following this, they worked as a Financial Controlling at Studio Filmtheater GmbH & Co. KG from November 1993 to December 1994.

In 1995, Ulrich took a career break to reorient himself. Ulrich then worked at DeTeWe Deutsche Telephonwerke AG & Co. KG as a Sales support, Process optimization, and Marketing freelancer from June 1996 to June 1997.

Ulrich then joined CM Coiffeur Marketing GmbH Idea as a Commercial Manager, focusing on Sales & Marketing and process optimization from July 1997 to June 1999. Ulrich continued their career at CBIT-Birkelbach GmbH as the Commercial Manager and Projects & Sales Manager from July 1999 to June 2005.

In 2005, Ulrich joined Deloitte and served as the Head of Data Maintenance from July 2005 to December 2007, and later as the Head of Data Quality from January 2008 to September 2011.

Most recently, Ulrich has been working at Evonik since October 2011. Ulrich started as the CRM Coordinator for the Business Line Consumer Specialties from October 2011 to March 2015. Ulrich then became the Business Process Manager for CRM from April 2015 to June 2018. Following this, they served as the Team Manager for Business Processes and Process Manager for CRM from July 2018 to June 2020. Ulrich's last role at Evonik was as a Senior Manager in IT Demand & Portfolio from July 2020 to March 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director in IT Demand & Portfolio at Evonik from April 2022.

Ulrich G. studied Wirtschaftsinformatik at Hochschule Wismar. Prior to that, they completed their Verwaltungsfachangestellter degree in Öffentliche Verwaltung at Studieninstitut für kommunale Verwaltung in 1993.
