Carolyn Young

Carolyn Young began their work experience in 2001 as a Candidate Attorney at Webber Wentzel, where they worked until 2009. During their time at Webber Wentzel, Carolyn held roles as an Associate, Senior Associate, and Salaried Partner in the Media, Sport, and Technology department. Their responsibilities included handling media law, drafting agreements, providing opinions on advertising and technology issues, and working on public law matters.

In 2009, Carolyn established their own limited company, Cathay Consulting Ltd, to provide legal support consultancy services to clients in the UK. Carolyn worked as the Owner and Director of the company until 2016. Their clients included Sony Europe Limited, where they served as a Contracts Manager within the Corporate Procurement Department. Their responsibilities included engaging with internal stakeholders to understand supplier requirements, negotiating contract terms, drafting agreements, and managing vendor contracts.

From 2016 to 2021, Carolyn worked at Exertis UK as a Commercial Contracts Manager. Carolyn was responsible for managing commercial contracts and ensuring compliance.

In 2021, Carolyn joined EVORA Global as a Commercial and Legal Contracts Manager. Their role involves overseeing commercial and legal contracts for the company.

Carolyn Young attended Parktown High School for Girls from 1989 to 1993. Carolyn then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from 1994 to 1997. Continuing their education at the same university, Carolyn completed a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from 1998 to 2000.
