Sabbir Sidat CEng MIMechE

Sabbir Sidat CEng MIMechE has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Sabbir is currently working as a Managing Consultant at EVORA Global since May 2021.

Previously, they worked at WSP in the UK, where they held various roles in the Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development sector. Sabbir started as a Senior Consultant in September 2015 and progressed to the roles of Principal Consultant and Associate Consultant before leaving in May 2021.

Prior to that, Sabbir worked as a Project Design Engineer/CAD Manager at Rural Energy from August 2013 to August 2015. Sabbir was responsible for providing technical support, creating hydraulic schematics, specifying equipment, and resolving on-site issues for biomass systems.

Before joining Rural Energy, they worked at Econic Renewable Energy Systems from April 2013 to July 2013. Here, they served as an Estimating and Design Engineer, responsible for designing ground energy collector layouts, creating hydraulic schematics, and preparing heat pump estimates.

Sabbir also worked as a Technical Coordinator and Technical Sales Administrator at Econic Renewable Energy Systems from October 2011 to April 2013. In these roles, they utilized their engineering background to assist with design, CAD, and estimating tasks while also handling sales administrative duties.

Sabbir gained early industrial experience through an industrial placement at RWE npower from September 2007 to August 2008. During this time, they worked in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics, specifically in the Boilers and Combustion team, using Ansys CFX.

Overall, Sabbir Sidat has demonstrated expertise in renewable energy, sustainable development, project design, technical coordination, and sales administration throughout their career.

From 2003 to 2005, they attended Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth II College, where they studied but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.

From 2005 to 2010, they attended the University of Leicester, where they pursued an MEng degree in General Engineering with Industry.

In addition to their formal education, Sabbir Sidat CEng MIMechE obtained a certification in "Our Energy Future" from Coursera Course Certificates in June 2016.
