Barani Govindarajan

Barani Govindarajan, MS, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Scientist at Evotec since July 2022, focusing on protein expression and purification within Insourced Reagent & Assay Operations for Merck. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientist at Evotec and a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where Barani completed a Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology. Earlier positions involved research and laboratory responsibilities at Wayne State University as a Research Laboratory Technician and at the Florida Institute of Technology as a Graduate Student, specializing in cloning UV-resistant E. coli cells. Barani's career also includes clinical research experience at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where responsibilities included patient enrollment in clinical trials, and foundational research as an Undergraduate Researcher at The Ohio State University, focusing on glioblastoma cells.
