Elizabeth Van Der Kam has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on neuroscience research and drug development. Elizabeth has held various leadership roles in different companies, including Evotec, AbbVie, Abbott, SOLVAY PHARMACEUTICAL, Grunenthal, and Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre.

At Evotec, they served as the Senior Vice President of Translational Biomarkers and HD Research, leading a global department focused on biomarker discovery, validation, and compliance for human sample use. Elizabeth was also the Vice President of HD Research & Translational Sciences and Alliance Management, overseeing a research department supporting neuroscience research and biomarker development, with a specific focus on Huntington's Disease.

Prior to their time at Evotec, Elizabeth worked at AbbVie as a Project Director for neuroscience programs/projects, where they contributed to multiple projects in Alzheimer's Disease, multiple sclerosis, and lysosomal storage disorders. Elizabeth Van Der Kam received their PhD in Neuropsychopharmacology from Radboud University from 2001 to 2005. Prior to this, they studied Medical Biology at the University of Groningen from 1996 to 2001. Elizabeth'searlier education includes attending Dr Nassau College from 1990 to 1996, but the degree name and field of study are unknown.
