James Hallinan

Associate Vice President, Business Development at Evotec

James Hallinan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. James currently holds the position of Associate Vice President, Business Development at Evotec, where they work with partners to accelerate drug discovery activities. Prior to this, Hallinan served as VP Cell & Gene, Europe and Asia at Cambridge Consultants, leading business development efforts in Europe and Asia. James also held the role of Head of Business Development - Bioinnovation at the same company, responsible for identifying sales opportunities in various sectors. Hallinan has a background in healthcare, having served as the Commercial Director of Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Director of Commercial Development at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. James has also held positions as Director and Chairman at BUGS Bioscience Ltd and Director at TiKa Diagnostics Ltd. Hallinan's earlier roles include Head of Enterprise and Innovation at St. George's, University of London and Manager of Innovation and Commercial Development at UniQuest. In these roles, they focused on commercializing research and intellectual property.

James Hallinan obtained a BSc Hons in Biochemistry from The University of Queensland in 1994. James went on to earn a PhD in Biochemistry from Imperial College London from 2000 to 2004.
