Jens Glaeser

Principal Scientist at Evotec

Jens Glaeser has had a diverse work experience in the field of microbiology and molecular biology. Jens started their career as a Junior Group Leader at Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen in 2005 and later became a Professor for Microbiology (temporary) at the same institution. In 2013, they moved to Universität Siegen where they worked as a Lecturer in Microbiology for a year. From 2014 to 2018, Jens Glaeser joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology (IME), where they held the positions of Group Leader and Administrative Head at the Sanofi-Fraunhofer Natural Products Center. Most recently, in 2018, they joined Evotec as a Principal Scientist.

Jens Glaeser received their Diplom Biologie (General Biology) degree from Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg in 1999. Jens then pursued a Dr rer nat (Doctor of Natural Sciences) degree in Microbiology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, they spent the academic year 1996-1997 at the University of Oregon, studying Biology.
