Michela Mirenda

Michela Mirenda is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in drug discovery and oncology. Currently serving as Team Leader and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Evotec since October 2019, Michela autonomously designs and manages drug discovery projects, collaborates across multiple departments, and presents findings to clients. Prior to this role, Michela worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Oncology Research, focusing on the re-education of tumor-associated macrophages in advanced prostate cancer, and held a similar position at Università degli Studi di Verona, investigating glioblastoma cell apoptosis. Additional experience includes research fellowships and a PhD in Biologia e Patologia Molecolare e cellulare from Università degli Studi di Verona, complemented by a visiting position at Trinity College Dublin. Academic credentials also include degrees in molecular and industrial biotechnology and classical studies.
