William Ambry has a diverse work experience ranging from legal roles to engineering positions. William currently serves as the Director of Corporate Development & Legal Affairs at EVPassport since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Corporate Associate at Goodwin from March 2021 to January 2023. In 2019, they gained legal experience as a 3L Student Associate at Startup Legal Garage and as a 2L Summer Associate at Ravid Law Group. William also worked as a Law Clerk at the Hardcore Gang Unit of the Los Angeles County, Office of the District Attorney for two months in 2018.
Before pursuing a legal career, Ambry worked at ArcelorMittal USA, starting as an Associate Engineer - Mechanical Intern from May to August 2014. During their internship, they supervised maintenance operations, reducing downtime and costs through redesign and optimization strategies. William continued as an Associate Engineer - Mechanical Intern at ArcelorMittal USA from May to August 2013, gaining further engineering experience. Ambry also worked as an Area Supervisor and Project Engineer at ArcelorMittal USA from January 2016 to July 2017 and from August 2015 to January 2016, respectively.
William Ambry completed their education at various institutions. William first attended Munster High School from 2007 to 2011, where they achieved the Core 40 with Academic Honors degree. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University from 2011 to 2015. Later, from 2017 to 2020, they attended the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, graduating with a JD in Law.
In addition to their formal education, William also obtained professional certifications. In November 2015, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Purdue University. More recently, in January 2021, they became an Attorney after obtaining the necessary licensure from the State Bar of California.
