Jean-Francois Decauwers

Jean-Francois Decauwers has a diverse range of work experience. Jean-Francois started their career in 1997 at Alcatel-Lucent as a Software Engineer, where they developed trial and demo applications for the Open Service Platform. Jean-Francois also supervised the installation and integration of applications on customer sites and coached a team of developers. Over the years, they took on various roles at Alcatel-Lucent, including Development Support Engineer, Senior Platform Engineer, Next Generation Platform Engineer, IDE Team Manager, and R&D Technical Manager. In these positions, they managed multicultural teams, implemented JAIN SLEE 1.1 Java specifications, and investigated and validated technologies for transitioning to a Java platform. Since 2013, Jean-Francois has been working at EVS Broadcast Equipment as a Senior Software Engineer and currently serves as the Engineering Manager. In this role, they are responsible for developing and controlling the software for EVS XT servers used in sports event productions, including the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games.

Jean-Francois Decauwers obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Université catholique de Louvain from 1992 to 1997.
