Rafiq Sekkal

Rafiq Sekkal has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Rafiq started their career as a Software Developer at EVS Broadcast Equipment in October 2019. Prior to that, they worked at AQUILAE from April 2017 to September 2019 as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on backend development and system integration for Aquilae solutions. Rafiq also participated in the CES2019 event during their time there.

Before joining AQUILAE, Rafiq worked at Aubelec from July 2016 to March 2017 as a Software Research and Development Engineer. Rafiq participated in national competitions, developed intrusion detection solutions, and worked on object tracking using camera networks.

From May 2014 to May 2016, Rafiq worked at Track and Catch as an R&D Engineer specializing in video surveillance image processing. Prior to that, they were a Doctoral Researcher at INRIA from October 2010 to February 2014. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at INSA de Rennes from October 2010 to September 2012, and as a Development Engineer intern at IRISA de Rennes from February 2010 to June 2010.

Rafiq's early career includes an internship as a Unit Test Development Engineer at Astellia in May 2009. Overall, they have a strong background in software development and research, with a focus on video surveillance and security systems.

Rafiq Sekkal obtained their Doctorate degree in Traitement de signal et d'images from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rennes, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Informatique at Université de Rennes I from 2008 to 2010. Rafiq started their educational journey by earning a Licence degree in Informatique from Université Aboubekr Belkaid, where they studied from 2005 to 2008.
