Sixto Quintana Juncosa has a diverse work experience history. Sixto started their career as a volunteer animal keeper at Zoo de Barcelona in 2006, where they were responsible for the care and maintenance of animals in the Terrarium. Sixto also conducted environmental education activities for school groups. From 2010 to 2012, Sixto worked as an intern at Zoo de Barcelona, focusing on animal behavior observation and creating ethograms.

In 2012, Sixto undertook an internship at CRARC Centre de recuperació d'amfibis i rèptils de Catalunya, a wildlife recovery center. Here, they gained experience in environmental education, animal care, wildlife conservation projects, scientific research, and veterinary support.
