Pedro Melgarejo

Pedro Melgarejo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Pedro is currently working as the CTO & Co-founder of evsy since August 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Entrepreneur In Residence at güil Mobility Ventures from June 2021. In 2020, they were the Chairman of Timov AI and also held the positions of CEO/CTO & Founder from July 2020 to January 2022. From September 2019 to March 2021, Pedro worked as the CTO & Co-founder of Cognitive Retail.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Pedro worked as an IT Consultant for several projects in the areas of Wireless Communication, IoT, Computer Network, Computer Vision, RFID technology, and Real-Time computing, among others. Pedro worked on projects mainly in the US and Chile for the Metal/Mining Industry and Retail sectors. Pedro's self-employment period lasted from September 2011 to July 2020.

Pedro has co-founded and held leadership positions in several companies. Pedro was the CEO & Co-founder of SocialMap from January 2018 to August 2019, and also served as its CTO & Co-founder from July 2018 to June 2018. From October 2015 to December 2017, they were the CTO & Co-founder of Ikimun LLC.

Pedro's earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor in the Engineering Department at Universidad Arturo Prat from September 2004 to December 2008. Pedro taught various courses related to Computer Networks, Electronic Systems, Wireless Networks, Computer Architectures, Digital Systems, and Operating Systems. Pedro also founded ControlNet, a role that lasted from 2005 to 2008.

Additionally, Pedro had an internship at the Continuing Studies department at Cegep Trois-Rivieres in June 2006. Throughout their career, Pedro has demonstrated their expertise in technology, leadership, and entrepreneurship across various domains.

Pedro Melgarejo's education history shows a diverse range of academic pursuits. Pedro has completed a Project Management Certificate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same institution. Pedro also earned a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Communication Systems from the Universidad de Concepción in Chile and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university. Additionally, Pedro has undertaken studies in Higher Education at the Universidad de Tarapacá and French as a second Language at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Pedro has also obtained a Technician degree in Control Instrumentation from CEAT. Most recently, in 2020, they completed a program called "Fit for Partnership with Germany" in Business Administration and Management, General, offered by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
