Ashwini Chandra

Ashwini Chandra is a Principal Engineer and Research Leader at EWI since December 2024, with a robust background in materials and hardware reliability gained during tenure as a Senior Engineer at DNV GL from April 2012 to November 2024. Ashwini's expertise encompasses design of experiments, failure analysis, risk assessment, and corrosion assessment, with a significant focus on clean energy initiatives, including hydrogen and carbon capture. Proficient in various advanced analytical techniques, Ashwini has led projects in corrosion testing, fracture mechanics studies, and technical proposal writing. Previous engagement as a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University involved electropolishing mechanisms of niobium, alongside internships at Reliance Industries Limited and Tata Motors, addressing failure analysis and process optimization. Ashwini holds an M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University and a B.Tech in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
