Johnny Jiron Castro

Johnny Jiron Castro has work experience in various roles and companies. Johnny started their career in 2003 as a Desarrollador at Intertec Consulting. Johnny then worked as a Practicante at ICE in 2004. In the same year, they joined IBM as a Programmer, where they were involved in designing, developing, and supporting different business applications.

In 2005, Johnny worked as a Software Developer at Dinámica Consultores Internacional, where they were responsible for designing and developing ASP pages for the COSEVI system.

Johnny also worked as a Software Developer at Dinamica consultores in Cartago, Costa Rica, where they created and corrected developed components in Visual Basic 6.0 to work with Web Services.

From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a QA Engineer at TTI Telecom, where they checked the correctness of applications developed by the company and developed testing plans.

Johnny then joined Fiserv in 2008 as a QA Engineer, where they gained experience working on agile development projects and participating in planning and retrospective meetings.

Since 2011, Johnny has been working at EX2 Outcoding, initially as a QA Team Lead and currently as a Business Analyst. In their role as a QA Team Lead, they were involved in the maintenance and administration of the test case repository, executing and creating test cases, and mentoring QA team members to ensure good quality in test case coverage.

Johnny Jiron Castro has a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR). Johnny obtained this degree from 2009 to 2011. Before that, they earned two Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Digital Communications from UCR, completing them in 2008. Johnny also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica, which they achieved from 1998 to 2003. Along with their educational achievements, Johnny has obtained additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance in October 2021 and ISTQB® Certified Tester - Foundation Level from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board in December 2018.
