Daniel Simpson

Daniel Simpson is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in analytical chemistry and product development within the life sciences sector. Having served as a Principal Scientist at Exact Sciences since July 2011, Daniel focuses on developing analytical workflows and new products for the industry. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Promega Corporation from February 1992 to May 2011, where responsibilities encompassed solving various quality control and assurance challenges. Additionally, Daniel's early career includes postdoctoral fellowships at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where research on fluorescent probes and steroid hormone biosynthesis was conducted, and at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where efforts centered on the extraction and analysis of photosynthetic pigments and the development of fluorescent sensors. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry, both from the University of California, Davis.
