Kim Vaarala

Kim Vaarala has a diverse work experience in the field of technical project management, embedded software implementation, and team leadership. Starting in 1998 with Sample Rate Systems, Vaarala worked on embedded hardware and software development for audio processing. From 2000 to 2008, Vaarala worked at Flextronics, Vaisala, and Atheros Communications, where they handled roles such as embedded engineer, senior software engineer, and software manager. In these positions, Vaarala gained experience in product development, team management, and software implementation for various projects, including development of digital radiosondes and GNSS chipsets. In 2011, Vaarala joined Qualcomm as an engineer, staff/manager, focusing on team and project management as well as new feature implementation for Qualcomm modem chipsets. Since 2016, Vaarala has been employed at Exafore as a technical project manager, overseeing internal and customer projects related to GNSS, indoor positioning, and software development.

Kim Vaarala earned a Master's degree in Information Technology from Tampere University of Technology, where they studied from 1992 to 2017.
