Akshaya Krishnan has a diverse work experience, beginning with an internship at Sankara Nethralaya in 2011, where they worked on a project titled "Molecular Detection and Analysis of GD2 synthase in Retinoblastoma". In 2013, they worked as an Intern at Blamey Saunders Hears and as a Graduate Student Ambassador and Student Researcher at the University of Melbourne. In 2016, they worked as a Lab Associate at uBiome and as a Genomics Specialist and Lab Manager at Stanford University, where they were responsible for research and development of lab automation, project lead on single cell TCRseq, and lab management. Finally, from 2020 to 2022, Akshaya worked as an Associate Scientist and Senior Research Associate-Process Development at PACT Pharma.
Akshaya Krishnan obtained a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Melbourne between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering between 2008 and 2012. In addition, they obtained a Statement of Accomplishment- Data Scientists Toolbox from Coursera in June 2015.
