Mehran Karimzadeh has a wealth of experience in the field of computational biology. Mehran began their career as an undergraduate student at the University of Tehran in 2008. Mehran then moved to McGill University in 2012, where they were an Undergraduate Research Trainee and an M.Sc. Student in Human Genetics - Bioinformatics. In 2015, they became a Research Assistant at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, teaching topics such as generalized linear models, introductory machine learning, and evaluating classification algorithms. During this time, they also served as a Post-doctoral Fellow at both the Vector Institute and the University of California, San Francisco. Mehran is currently a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at Exai Bio.
